To kickstart the Insurance/Medicaid process, you are required to work with a Medical Equipment Supplier. There are several organizations and acronyms that you will encounter throughout this process. We understand these medical terms, acronyms, and organizations can get confusing. Here is a quick guide on some acronyms that can guide you throughout your Cubby journey.

OT = Occupational Therapist

PT = Physical Therapist

PCP = Primary Care Provider

HCPCS = Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (Insurance Billing Codes for Cubby Safety Beds and Products) 

ICD =  Diagnosis Codes for Insurance

DME = Durable Medical Equipment (Cubby Safety Beds) or Durable Medical Equipment Supplier

HME = Home Medical Equipment

ATP = Assistive Technology Professional from a DME

PO = Purchase Order/Product Order (Order# from DME to Cubby Beds)

LMN = Letter of Medical Necessity

Rx = Prescription
